Our blog post today is a sad one as we say goodbye to our colleague and manager Fiona.
Fiona and Jake before the rest of us joined the team!
Fiona joined the education team over ten years ago, starting out when we were a much smaller team. Back then her title was “Education Officer” (that was before we became community officers too!) and there were just two members of the team. In her time with Dogs Trust the team grew to six, with Fiona at the helm as the Education and Community Manager.
Over the years she visited thousands and thousands of children in Dublin and beyond, delivering countless workshops. In her early years she was accompanied by her gentle dog Jake, who is sadly no longer with us, and once Jake retired, her faithful pal Ollie took over workshop duties.

Fiona led the team through many changes, overseeing our expansion across the country and launching many successful campaigns such as Be Dog Safe, Be Dog Confident, and multiple Scoop the Poop/Big Scoop projects, among others.
We will miss her terribly and the team wishes her luck for the future.
Goodbye Fiona (and Ollie too, of course 😊)
