Fundraising

Can you imagine how much money it costs to look after 1,500 dogs every year? We need help to look after all of the dogs that come into our care. Without donations from people like you, we would not be able to do the work we do!

Fundraising is fun!

Running our state-of-the-art Rehoming Centre costs a lot of money – heating kennels, washing bedding, providing food, training and medical attention – it all adds up. All the money given to us is spent giving our dogs excellent care as we try and find each of them a loving new home.

You can help raise the vital funds to help us look after and rehome thousands of dogs in desperate need of our help, and have a great time doing it!

You could:

  • Have a non-uniform day
  • Hold a cake sale
  • Organise a sponsored walk
  • Have a Readathon
  • Organise a sponsored silence

Things you could donate:

  • Dog toys
  • Bedding
  • Dog treats
  • Towels
  • Hotdogs in brine
  • Tinned tuna
  • Tinned dog food

Sending us your collection

When you have collected your money, ask an adult to write a cheque or postal order to 'Dogs Trust' for the total amount, and send it to us explaining what your event was. We might even feature it on our blog!

Send it to:

Fundraising for Secondary Schools

The Dogs Trust Education team now visit secondary schools, and in the last few months lots of schools have contacted us, asking us for ideas on how they can raise money for Dogs Trust. So, we decided to create a Downloadable Fundraising Ideas sheet, which you can access at the bottom of the page. These ideas cover potential fundraisers you can do while Covid is still an issue, and some other ideas you can put in your back pocket, for when the pandemic is behind us. Either way, we're excited to see how your amazing fundraisers go. Best of luck!
