Hi my name is Audrey and I deliver workshops, both in person or online (via zoom) to Dublin and Eastern counties. I am a qualified secondary teacher and am I love promoting dog welfare in primary and secondary schools. By supporting and educating the next generation of dog owners we will hopefully help them to understand the responsibilities of owning their own dog, and hopefully over time decrease the amount of abandoned and stray dogs. I cover Dublin and parts of Kildare, Meath and Louth. The workshops are FREE to schools and are fun, interactive and child centered, some of our topics include Dog’s Needs, Cost of a Dog and Safety around Dogs. If you are passionate about animal welfare and would like to promote the Dogs Trust message in your school then why not get in touch and book your free workshop. I would love to hear from you.

Our Education and Community Officer for Clare and South Connacht is Aoife, however for the next few months Aoife will be working on other projects for Dogs Trust, so this part of Ireland will be temporarily without an officer.
Don't worry however, as we have gone online, and have fantastic virtual workshops on offer all over the country. If you are interested in one of our online workshops email [email protected]

Hi, my name is Paul and I offer online workshops via zoom, or physical workshops to schools (both primary and secondary) in the Midlands. Before joining the Education team I previously worked in Dogs Trust as a Canine Carer, and although I miss seeing the dogs in the centre every day, I love that I get to travel the Midlands (And occasionally my lovely lurcher, Magic comes with me). We offer free educational workshops to schools and community groups in Westmeath, Longford, Offaly, Cavan and Laois, as well as parts of Kildare, Meath, Monaghan and Leitrim with the aim of passing on the message of Responsible Dog Ownership. It is Dogs Trust's hope that these workshops will reduce the amount of strays, and improve dog welfare as a whole in Ireland. If you would like a visit get in touch today!

Hello, I'm Fiona and I deliver workshops (both physical and online via zoom) to Dublin and its surrounding counties. I am the Dogs Trust Education and Community Manager and although Audrey is your main port of call for Dublin Workshops, occasionally I also visit schools (both primary and secondary) and community centres with my trusty sidekick, Ollie the Boxer (when he is up to it of course 😊).
The Education team have been running workshops since 2005 and we feel Education is the key to help the future generations of Ireland understand the importance of responsible dog ownership. This not only will allow children to learn how expensive it is to get a dog, but it will also teach the importance of empathy. We also teach that dogs are a lot of work, and of course they are for life not just for Christmas.
